How It Works
The 6-week return-to-run plan will help you get started, and is meant to get you ready to complete a 5 km or 10 km distance at the completion of the program.
Workouts are provided online through the Training Peaks app, which will sync with your smart watch or phone.
Feedback and support will be provided throughout the 6-week program, based on your preference.
The last time I ran regularly was back in 2012 (it’s now 2025). At the time, I was a regular smoker (I’ve since quit) and far from being in great shape. Life got busy—kids came along, and I focused on building a business—so running simply fell off the radar.
Then, in 2024, I met Jamie through a mutual friend. During one of our conversations, he suggested I join a “Learn to Run 5K” group organized by his team, the Travelling Circus Running Group. I took the plunge, and although I struggled through the program, I stuck with it—and by the end, I was hooked.
Inspired, I set my sights on something I never thought I’d consider: a half marathon. When I shared this idea with Jamie (expecting him to tell me I was crazy), he was nothing but enthusiastic. Not only did he encourage me, he offered to coach me personally.
Jamie designed a fantastic training program that got me to the half marathon distance in just 12 weeks. He’s not just a coach—he’s a mentor, someone who holds me accountable and inspires me every step of the way. In those moments when I doubt myself, Jamie is always there to remind me how far I’ve come.
